A break in the early summer heat with cool air, mist and drizzle. More than a little influence from a certain beardy Greek synthesizer musician who is sadly no longer with us.
Is it my imagination, or is Mœbius aka Jean Giraud having a bit of a moment? I've seen quite a few instances of people being very explicitly influenced by his art style. And not before time! Not coincidentally, we watched the first episode of Scavengers Reign tonight – an example of the above, as well as a healthy dose of Miyazakiesque fantastique. Very nice.
I started tonight's synthesizer session with a pretty up-beat, get up and go track, so much so, that it got up and left. Following that possibly fortunate incident, I suddenly came over all #ambient and this is the result.
Tonight's long-form, psychedelic and hypnotic synthtember synthesizer improvisation: “Mother Chorizo” ... I can hear echoes of Tangerine Dream and Future Sound of London.
